CLASS OF 2024: There is a scholarship available on TEAMS for those planning to continue their education in a healthcare field. Scholarship eligibility requirements are included in the document. The UHC Auxiliary scholarship is due on April 25th, 2024.

Make sure to wear your blue and gold to show your Bearcat Pride and support your GHS Faculty in the game on Friday!


The GHS faculty will be taking on the TCMS faculty in a basketball game this Friday for students. Students must bring $1 on Friday to be admitted to the game. All money will go towards funding future student activities.

Attention Rising GHS Sophomores! New Course Alert!
Beginning with the 24-25 School year, the following Dual Credit classes will be offered to UPCOMING SOPHOMORE STUDENTS who are highly interested in pursuing a HEALTHCARE CAREER when they graduate. These classes are being added to pull students into the Healthcare Career Pathway earlier in their high school path. Each class will last one semester. Students MUST register to take BOTH classes for their sophomore year.
First Semester – ROAR 1100 NS Orientation –
Pierpont New Student Orientation serves as an introduction to college life. Students will learn about the systems/processes of higher education and Pierpont services available to support their education goals. In addition, students will develop individualized strategies for academic success and explore of areas of interest beyond the regular college curriculum.
Second Semester – HCLA 1101 – Intro to Health Careers
This course is designed to introduce students to professions and careers within the area of Healthcare. The course will cover requirements, prerequisites, necessary skills, and qualities for a successful career as a healthcare professional. The student will be provided individualized exposure to selected occupations.

The Class of 2024 participated in the GET A LIFE program by the WV State Treasurer's Office this morning. Get a Life is a hands-on financial education experience that engages students with realistic family budget scenarios.
The group activity takes approximately 90 minutes to complete and provides students with a series of financial challenges.
