March is Youth Art Month! You can check out Grafton High School student artwork in the gallery downtown in Grafton and it is also on display in the Parkersburg Art Center.

We are excited to announce that Job Squad is now in Taylor County.
Job Squad’s Customized Employment Program (CEP) provides 1:1 Job Readiness Training and Support to individuals that experience barriers to employment. Job Squad partners with the WV Division of Rehabilitation Services to assist individuals in reaching their vocational goals.
This is available for both our current high school students and members of the community. This is an excellent opportunity for supported employment and on the job training with the goal of eventually working independently. If you want more information or want to determine, if you or your child is a candidate, please call the main office and ask to speak with Mrs. Shumaker. You can also contact the Job Squad representative directly at 304-641-4211.

We had an opportunity to meet with a representative from Mitsubishi today. Here's an excellent opportunity for students graduating this year that have an interest in aviation and have not selected a path. It's also available to the public if anyone is considering a career change, check it out. Mrs. Shumaker has additional information if you would like to call the school with questions.

🌍✈️ Exciting Global Connections for GHS Spanish Students! ✈️🌍
Hello GHS community! We're thrilled to share an incredible opportunity our Spanish 3H, 4H, and 5H students recently had – a virtual connection with native Spanish speakers on TEAMS. 🌐
In the midst of our lessons on traveling and the profound impact it can have on one's life, Spanish 4 and 5 classes engaged in insightful conversations with two inspiring girls from Venezuela. These young ladies shared their experiences as Rotary Club exchange students in Germany and Brazil, offering our students a unique glimpse into the transformative power of cultural exchange.
Meanwhile, Spanish 3H had the pleasure of chatting with a Venezuelan and a Colombian girl currently exploring Malta. Their firsthand accounts of traveling in Europe added a fascinating layer to our discussions, giving us a window into diverse perspectives and the enriching experiences that come with international adventures.
Adding to the excitement, Spanish 4H recently conducted an interview with Jada Charlton, delving into her remarkable journey known as "The WORLD RACE" mission trip spanning 11 countries. Yesterday's session was a fantastic learning experience for our students, providing them with valuable insights into the varied and impactful travel experiences of different individuals.
These interactions go beyond language learning; they open doors to cultural understanding and broaden our students' horizons. A big thank you to all participants for sharing their incredible travel stories! 🌏🤝 #GHSGlobalConnections #LearningThroughTravel
