Any GHS students interested in Student Council- you are encouraged to attend our first meeting of the school year in the cafeteria during AA on Friday. We will be discussing our upcoming Homecoming events, spirit week, etc. Check in with your AA teacher first and join the Remind!

We are excited to start the new school year tomorrow. A few things to note...
1. AA assignments will be posted near the Sam Bord Entrance and the cafeteria.
2. All students will receive a copy of their schedule in the morning during AA. Do not worry if you do not have your copy.
3. All freshman will report to Scotty Hamilton Gymnasium, and your AA teacher will meet you there. If you want breakfast, you can go to the cafeteria and eat. Then report back to the gym.
4. Due to the new sidewalk installation, student drop off on Thursday and Friday by parent/guardian will take place in front of the Scotty Hamilton Gymnasium. Busses will continue to drop off on Sam Bord Drive.
5. Seniors, do not forget your immunization records. Nurse Mayle will visit each AA in the morning and collect the paperwork.
6. The building opens daily for student arrival at 7:15. All students should be in the building no later than 7:45.
7. A link to the bus schedules is posted on the county and school websites and Facebook. Please check what bus to ride in and out on.
Get some rest tonight and show up ready for a great year tomorrow.
It's Time to THRIVE!
Mrs. Shumaker

Important Medication Reminders for All Students!
Medications MUST be dropped off at the school by a guardian.
Also:
If your child requires a rescue asthma inhaler, Epi-pen, glucagon, insulin, seizure rescue medication, or other emergency medication at school, then the school nurse must receive the medication and the medication order form prior to the first day of the new school year to ensure your child can attend school safely.
Our school does not dispense any over the counter or prescription medications (including ointments, inhalers, oral medications and eye drops) without a current written Medication Order Form from a licensed physician or health care provider.
All physician orders MUST be renewed at the beginning of the school year.
