Sophia Austin, GHS Senior and serves and leads as WV FBLA State Secretary. Sophia is a 2026 Coca-Cola Scholars Semi-Finalist. Coca-Cola Scholars is a prestigious $20,000 scholarship program, over 170,000 students applied.

Taylor County Schools Hosts WVDE Regional Math Training
Today, Taylor County Schools proudly hosted the West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) Regional Math Training. We welcomed K–5 teachers from across our county and neighboring counties for a day focused on building math instruction excellence.
Participants explored valuable math resources and strategies designed to strengthen student understanding and application of key math concepts.
A heartfelt thank-you to all the educators who joined us for this collaborative learning experience and to the WVDE for partnering with us to support high-quality math education across the region!
