New National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) Members are reminded to pay the one-time new member fee of $30 by Wednesday, January 17. Fee can be paid by cash, check or ONLINE at https://osp.osmsinc.com/TaylorWV/BVModules/ProductTemplates/Bvc2013/Product.aspx?productid=EC502-54
The link is available on the GHS website > Online School Payments > High School > GHS. Students must also log in to their NTHS portal to create a password and to confirm and complete their profile information.
New NTHS Member Induction Ceremony is planned for Friday, February 2 (weather permitting).
Attention Class of 2024 - FAFSA Night has been rescheduled for 02/26/24. It will take place in the GHS Library. Please be sure to create your FSA ID prior to attending, bring an electronic device (laptop, iPad, etc.) to complete your FAFSA, and be sure to register for the event using the link.

The 2024 Varsity Ball will be held on Saturday, February 17th from 7:00 - 10:00 pm. This is a semi-formal dance. If you plan on bringing a guest, you must complete a guest request form that is due by 2/9 to Mr. McCarthy. Forms are available in the main office, counseling office, and outside of the cafeteria.

Guest request forms are now available for the Varsity Ball dance. They are in the main office, counseling/nurses office, and on the table outside of the cafeteria. All forms need to be turned in to Mr. McCarthy by 2/9 at 3:00 pm.
This is a reminder that exam exemption forms are due today. Please be sure to bring yours and turn it in by today.

This is a reminder that the FAFSA Night is cancelled due to issues with the FAFSA site at the federal level. We will be rescheduling the event most likely in February. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Coming soon to a court near you... the GHS faculty will take on the TCMS faculty in the Taylor County Backyard Brawl. Students will pay $1 to attend the game. Concessions will be available. Game will start at 8:45 am on Friday, February 16th! Who will be the champion of Taylor County? GO BEARCATS!
Grafton High School Chili Cookoff will be on Wednesday, February 14.

This year’s Grafton High School Chili Cookoff will be Wednesday, February 14 in the Mary Battle Studio. There is a $5 entry fee. You will need to cook at least 5 quarts of chili. Electrical outlets, cups, and serving spoons will be provided. You will need to bring a meat thermometer to ensure a temperature of 165 degrees. Two awards will be given: People's Choice and Judge's Choice. Good luck!
Chefs entering will be serving their delightful chili to guests from 5:30 to approximately 7:30. This event will coincide with the GHS/PB boys’ basketball game.
We hope to see you there if you are cooking up chili or tasting many examples of chili.
This is a reminder that any student planning to take one or more AP tests this spring must pay the remainder of the test fee this week. It is $48 per test and can be paid at the link below. Please let us know if you need any assistance.

Young Writers Contest 2024: pick up forms from Ms. Dalton (Room 110). The submission must be in prose (no poetry). Grades 9-10: 1,000 word limit; Grades 11-12: 1,200 word limit.
Form and submission due date is February 5, 2024. Please return form and submit to Ms. Dalton on or before this date.
