Good Evening,
Please be aware that it appears that our state is currently experiencing an increase of Covid-related cases. As a result, we have received the following information from the State Department of Education:
"When student or staff tests positive for COVID-19:
Ā» Students and staff who test positive for COVID-19, should stay home for at least 5 days and isolate from others.
Ā» Students are not allowed to participate in extracurricular activities while in isolation and potentially infectious.
Ā» Day 0 is the first day of symptoms or day tested if asymptomatic.
Ā» Students and staff may return to school if they:
āŗ Stayed home and isolated for at least 5 full days
āŗ Are fever free for 24 hours (without the use of fever reducing medications)
āŗ Have symptoms that are improving
Ā» It is recommended that a mask be worn days 6-10.
Ā» Individuals who were severely ill or immunocompromised should stay home and isolate for 10 days."
Thank you for adhering to the aforementioned response to Covid-related illnesses, as doing so protects all of us.

āŖļøPlease pay close attention to any/all foot traffic as students are hurrying to get to/from our buildings and or parent/guardian vehicles.
āŖļøIn all instances, drivers who are seen passing a bus while it is loading or unloading children will be reported to, and ticketed by, law enforcement personnel.

Back to School Event!
Important Message from Taylor County Schools:
Starting Friday, August 25, 2023, the following procedural change will go into effect: All schools will open to receive student arrival no earlier than 7:15 a.m., as this will be the earliest that students will be allowed to enter any school building. Parents/guardians are asked to plan not to drop off students prior to this time and honor the bus lanes specifically for buses only and parent/guardian student drop off lanes. This change is being made to help minimize traffic congestion at all locations. We appreciate your cooperation. (This change will not affect school/class instructional start times at any location.)
