🏈TCMS KNIGHTS🏈 Championship game this Wednesday 7:00pm kick-off here at GHS McKinney field. With a help & support from Local companies: Ground Rules llc and City Construction And a HUGE contribution from Ernie Rush w/ Octane Industrial services, NO STUDENT will have to buy a ticket to enter the game, this includes Elementary, Middle, High school, Virtual, Homeschooled, etc . ‼️VERY IMPORTANT ‼️ All students have to do is stop at the table near the main gate near the scoreboard & greenhouse end of the field between 5-6:30 Donation supporters will have an extra table sat up just for students and this will only be available at this gate. TCS thanks all of the community supporters for this amazing donation! ❤️🖤🩶 🏈Go Knights!! 🏈

Bus Announcement: Bus # 73 will not run today. Middle School and High School students who normally ride that bus will be transported home on Bus # 24 or #25. Flemington students from that bus will be transported by Bus #79.

Good Evening, Please be aware that it appears that our state is currently experiencing an increase of Covid-related cases. As a result, we have received the following information from the State Department of Education: "When student or staff tests positive for COVID-19: » Students and staff who test positive for COVID-19, should stay home for at least 5 days and isolate from others. » Students are not allowed to participate in extracurricular activities while in isolation and potentially infectious. » Day 0 is the first day of symptoms or day tested if asymptomatic. » Students and staff may return to school if they: › Stayed home and isolated for at least 5 full days › Are fever free for 24 hours (without the use of fever reducing medications) › Have symptoms that are improving » It is recommended that a mask be worn days 6-10. » Individuals who were severely ill or immunocompromised should stay home and isolate for 10 days." This is a reminder that tomorrow, September 1, 2023, is a Curriculum Development Day for all Taylor County Schools Staff. Students do not attend. All staff, including staff at the central board of education office, will be attending mandatory trainings and may not be able to answer phone calls throughout the day. The following is a follow-up to our previous message regarding Procedural Changes to the daily opening of school buildings and student Drop-off. Please be aware of the following request regarding traffic flow that will be in effect during both Morning and After School Procedures: ▪️Please be respectful of our collective goal to protect the safety of all of our children by honoring and allowing for bus departures before others enter/use drive lanes. ▪️Please pay close attention to any/all foot traffic as students are hurrying to get to/from our buildings and or parent/guardian vehicles. ▪️In all instances, drivers who are seen passing a bus while it is loading or unloading children will be reported to, and ticketed by, law enforcement personnel.
