All Taylor County Schools will be on a two-hour delay today, Friday, December 19th, 2025.

Congratulations to the following students for selling the most chocolate bars for our school wide candy sale. 1st place Jamian Poling. 2nd place Kyndalyn Streets and 3rd place not pictured was Sophia Lipscomb. Also congratulations to Ms. Andrews homeroom for finishing in first place. They will receive a trip to the Trampoline Park.

Patriot's Pen Winners received recognition at Tuesday's BOE meeting. They include Liliana Shifflett 1st place, Laylen Trickett 3rd place and McKinleigh Tingler 2nd place. Congratulations!!!!!

Reminder it's spirit week!!! The 22nd will now be your choice of Ugly Sweater Day OR Christmas Character Day!

NTID packets had been loaded on the website for Day 1. They can be found under Documents for Parents. If you have any questions, please reach out to your teacher via email or through rooms.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, December 16th, 2025, will be a Non-Traditional Instruction Day for all Taylor County Schools. This is NTI Day #1 for students. Students will learn from home and staff are to be available for support, from their assigned work site, from 10am-3pm. Parents and Guardians are asked to review our NTID Family Plan video for more information on student expectations, available teacher supports, and meal availability for students. This video can be viewed on our Taylor County Schools website, YouTube channel, and social media page.

The new date for the Spelling Bee 🐝 is Thursday,January 8th, 2026 at 6:30.
Spelling bee 🐝 for tomorrow, 12-15-25, will be rescheduled to January. The new date will be posted soon.
All Taylor County schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, December 15th, 2025.

On behalf of the administration, we would like to personally thank all of the students that went to the cemetery today to help them unload wreaths for the Wreaths Across America event. We had a huge turnout and there were over 6,890 wreaths to unload! This was for a great cause and we love the passion that our students have to assist with such a great event! Our students are truly the Best!
Come join us this evening at 7pm at GHS auditorium as our middle school choir performs their winter concert.
