Taylor County Middle School students had the opportunity to step outside their usual classroom routines and dive into something new and exciting during the school’s first-ever Explore 360 Day.
The event encouraged both students and teachers to share and explore personal interests and passions and build connections and curiosity across grade levels. Teachers selected a club or hobby to lead, while students chose from a wide range of engaging options—creating a day full of discovery, creativity, and fun.
From hands-on activities like soap making, painting, crafting, crochet, gardening, and cooking, to mind-challenging options like chess, coding, debate, and escape rooms, there was something for every interest. Students could also explore creative outlets in theatre, calligraphy, poetry, STEAM, and guitar, or dive into special-interest clubs such as geocaching, farming, baking for special occasions, sports trivia, and even Dungeons & Dragons.
Assistant Principal Andrew Moore shared, “Explore 360 was designed to help students connect with new interests and see the many ways learning happens beyond the classroom. It was incredible to see both students and staff so engaged and excited to share what they love.”
The day was a huge success, leaving both students and teachers asking when the next “Explore 360” will be. By celebrating creativity, teamwork, and curiosity, Taylor County Middle School continues to foster a culture where learning truly comes full circle.
