It was an exciting Halloween at Flemington Elementary this year! 🎃 Students and staff were thrilled to be joined by the WVU Mountaineer and Mrs. West Virginia during our Halloween Parade this year! Our very own Cruella Deville read to students during her search for dalmations.
Fun Tip Friday for Families
One way to improve your child’s literacy skills is to link what is read in the book with real life. For example, if you read a book about the park, take your child to the park and point out the slides, swing sets, etc., that were seen in the book. 4th graders out did themselves with their Pumpkin Book Reports! They were tasked with reading a book and creating a character from the book using a pumpkin. Talk about a group of avid readers and artists!

Bus Announcement: Bus # 73 will not run today.
Middle School and High School students who normally ride that bus will be transported home on Bus # 24 or #25.
Flemington students from that bus will be transported by Bus #79.

TCS Announcement:
Thursday, October 19th will now be a 2-Hour Early Release for all Taylor County School students. Staff will be attending various meetings and trainings within the schools.

This week, second grade students at Flemington Elementary School learned about spiders. They finished the week by writing adjectives about spiders on spider legs that are hanging above their writing.

Bus 73 students will be riding bus 79 today, 9/29/23.
Join us to celebrate the GHS Golf Team that qualified to go to the state golf tournament. The team will be visiting all the schools on Friday to be recognized prior to the golf match next week.
